The Association was formed in 1967 with the objective of preserving and promoting cultural, recreational, educational, moral, and intellectual welfare of its members and for promoting South Indian culture in Hong Kong. The Association organises dramas, debates, musical concerts and sport activities and brings out the talent within the community. It also brought cultural troupes from India. It has a membership of 250 families.
