Australian Hindi Indian Association AHIA
The association is targeting all Hindi and Punjabi speaking Indians in New South Wales and has broad based objectives and activities. Being non-profit, non-political and non-religious in its activities, it has three main objectives. 1. To provide Cultural activities such as promotion of Hindi language, library on our cultural heritage and organising cultural functions like Holi and Deepavali etc. 2. To promote Social and Welfare activities such as publishing community news, coordinating and assisting Indians in crisis situation, counselling and guiding new Indian settlers, and promoting activities amongst elderly Indians. 3. To promote awareness of Indian traditions to Government organisations or other similar orgainisations or associations.
