FIPHK was started in December 2001 under the patronage of the Consul General of India, with a view to provide a platform for professionals from India to meet and exchange ideas. It also aims at fostering greater understanding of India, its people, its culture, and the vast opportunities it offers – to the world at large and China and Hong Kong in particular. Its objectives include helping Indians understand and learn about China’s development, and to explore opportunities for the Chinese to get involved in India. The Forum organises seminars, meetings etc. on its own or in collaboration with other organisations.
