Welcoming and Knowledgable
I was so happy to find an Indian guru of such quality in Sacramento. A professional performer and teacher, the walls of his classroom are filled with photos of the great musicians in the North Indian tradition he was born into. Other photo frames hold newspaper clippings and letters of support from universities. The ambience of the class is friendly and supportive of students, and the teacher is very serious and professional about teaching the music of his family tradition. Lesson prices give quality and excellence for the hour lesson and are the same as other professional music teachers in schools around Sacramento which I checked. by

Indian Music Student
Pt. Pathak is a professional musician, whose knowledge was learned in a family background reflecting hundreds of years of court and professional musicians. This depth of knowledge enables him to offer instruction unique in US. Each student's musical level is personally evaluated and they are taught at their individual level--not just given preplanned lessons. His instruction is excellent and rates are commensurate with professional music teachers in Sacramento. Classes are offered in the Rocklin classroom as well as in Sacramento for convenience of his students. Parking is available at both sites. by
